Yarn Bombing!

What is Yarn Bombing I hear you say- for those of you that are not familiar with this term Yarn bombing is a word used to describe a new craze that uses hand knitted and crotchet pieces to create colourful and often quirky graffiti/street art instead of the usual media such as spray paint or chalk
.
It appears the yarn bombers have taken a particular liking to an area local to me, Saltburn. Back in March the yarn bombers hit the local pier with a spectacular knitted display of the the Olympics which was reported to be a whopping 50 feet long!

It was an amazing display of lots of brightly coloured characters which appeared to be participating in a variety of Olympic events.

This week is appears the yarn bombers have hit the pier again with a royal themed display just in time for the Jubilee celebrations.

Such a cute way to showcase your talent! Great work mystery yarn bomber! Lovely way to bring the community together and put a smile on everyones face.

Chic Vintique Update

Whoops! big apology for the lack of posts :-/ been super busy since my last craft fair. Chic Vintique proved to be even better than the year before and resulted in me selling out of several lines of stock so I am over the moon as this day could not of went any better. Due to this I have now been locked away in the studio for the past few weeks trying to replenish my stocks as well as creating a few new lines to celebrate the Queens Jubilee.
For those of you who couldn't make it down to the parish gardens for Chic Vintique here's a few photos taken from my stall on the day . . .
